Smog Parts ???
Hope this is the right board to post this sort of question...
ok I'm just getting into cars and I know basic things, but I'm kind of puzzled on this ad:

It says he's missing the "smog parts" from this car.
What parts are these exactly??

It doesn't have a smog pump or EGR. So more likely it wont pass the emissions test when you go for inspection. That is if whatever state you live in has inspection. However being an 86 you can get QQ plates to eliminate the whole inspection process. Unfortunately I just threw out my smog pump but I do have most of the other smog and egr related parts if you need them.

I had my dual cats gutted back in 1994. Bought it new in 1989. It passed inspection always. I will be ripping out my smog pump when the time allows it. Someone in eBay was selling a bracket with a pully wheel on it so you can keep the same belt length. Havent seen it in a while. Here in NY after 25 years, the inspections are just visual and safety, no emissions.
