I have a 92 RS automatic trans, 3.1v6 motor. My speedometer, odometer, tripometer, and my cruise control are not working. I have replaced the speedsensor (vss) and the gear in the trans appears to still have good teeth. I also replaced the ECC engine control computer. All the problems mentioned above are still not working. Both the ecc and the vss were refurbished parts from autozone. The ECC had a chip called a prom I believe which didn't come with the new ECC,, so I swapped it from my old ECC. I have been told the 92 3.1 rs dosent have a speedsencor buffer between the vss and the ecc. I have looked but could not find one. I have also replaced the gauge cluster with a working one and still nothing works. Could I be missing something that will solve my problem?
