IAC Valve

My 91 RS 3.1 has a code coming up as the IAC Valve. Before I replace this, does the dealer have to set it or does this valve already automatically set its own spec?

Once you replace the IAC do an idle learn procedure. A search of the V6 board using my name as the poster and "idle + learn" for the search string will bring it up.
