Alright i own a 91 firebird that ive had since 2001. I recently just did an engine swap from 305 TBI to a 350 Carb. The car been running great until last night. I noticed the battery was dead so i put our jumper on it and was letting it charge up, went to roll it and it was rolling hard so i was like ok needs more charging. Let it charge for about another ten min or so went to turn the key and now its not doing nothing. I can hear my fuel pump all my lights and buzzers are going off, but now i got a security light on i noticed and the starter isnt even rolling the motor. Maybe its VATS?? idk any ideas would be greatly appreciated Thanks

 

After I did a fuel pump I had the same issue where the car wouldn't run, try letting it sit for 15 minutes with the battery unplugged. Sometimes the little ears in the key cylinder brake and don't make contact with the key but that's just something to look into if the car won't start in its own.

 

Im having the same problem. My security light just stays on all the time.
