I was not able to start my 92 rs last week cause the starter wouldn't turn over. No solenoid clic clic no nothing. When I got back from work, it started right up. This is the third time in 2 years this has happened. I had power to everything, but no start. If it is the VATS, I would like to disable it. Any input would be helpful.

 

Theres write ups on here how to disable the VATS just google it.

Also, was the engine hot when it wouldnt start? i had an issue with the solenoid getting hot from the exhaust manifold and not starting but then starting later after it cooled.

 

No it wan not hot. I'll google.
