Car: 1990 Camaro RS
Engine: 3.1L V6
different car's ECM works, not the original

When I put another car's ECM in, the security light is off and the car cranks. But when I put my ECM in, which is new, the security light is on and it won't start. Why does another car's ECM work, and is the problem because my computer won't read my key and the other ECM will?

you don't state what ecms you are swapping and what memcals. sounds like you have a vats issue 1227730?
