Confused. Hypertech: ThermoMaster and StreetRunner

I know a lot of people think Hypertech is not a good product and that it is called Hyperjunk. But since Im getting them for free, i have no complaints. So my question is, could I run a Hypertech Street Runner while using a 160* Thermostat and not run into some issues? I ask this because Im thinking about buying a Moates G3 Switching Adapter so that i can easily switch from the StreetRunner (fuel efficiency) and ThermoMaster (I live in the desert). Any advice would help. Thanks.

Your thermostat is going to open sooner than when your fans come on tho.

I think when temps are under 170 you may not have overdrive. 180 dF therm is a better idea
