CE/SES light on?

I Never used datamaster. One tip is to make sure the progam is set to the comport that the ALDL cable is. I believe one of my two USB ports is set to 3 and the other to 4. Found in control panel.

If car is not showing any codes it just may be a BLM that is off the charts. Also possible that the AE or pumpshot needs to be changed for drivability. A wide band is a helpfull tuning tool.
