Car runs no ecm

Pulled ECM out, car still runs. Should car run?

so like stated above it will run a ccc no mc solenoid control or timing control.

Doesn't mean properly, I believe CCC go into a rich state when the ECM is missing, I could be wrong. You will also lose your timing advance (not a huge problem to overcome).

Ermmm, my 305 TBI ran without the ECM plugged it, just not very well. My 350 carb'd "HO"(lol), does not have an ECM. It depends on the carb and your distributor, im fairly sure, get the part numbers off of them and google if they need an ECM or not. As far as I know, there were never any ECM's on stock carb'd motors.

EDIT: As usual I am wrong, 85 had a carb'd ECM so, you have a CCC and you do need the ECM.

But the car should still "run" without it.
