ECM keeps resetting after each start?

Hi guys, I just recently replaced my cap and rotor and after I started the car to make it run, it ran perfectly. The next day I went to start it, the ecm seemed to go into learning mode. Shut if off, factory alarm didn;'t turn on, reset as well. Waited a few mins, started up again, and the ecm reset again. The alarm also reset. The reason why i think it's the ecm is because my alarm keeps resetting. All wires and coil pack plugs seem to be snug and fit right.

What do you mean the ECM is resetting?

There's nothing special about replacing a cap and rotor. You may have knocked a wire loose to your alarm system?

It got worse now, car was idling from 1000- almost 0 rpm after warm start. It'll idle good for about a min then idle rough and the car will shake like it's getting flooded with gas or no pressure. Each time it starts it idle hunts and now there's a strong gas smell on the passenger side by the exhaust manifold or head area

If all you did was change cap and rotor look around that area for a vacuum hose now loose or cranked, wire issue etc... just changing a cap and rotor won't do this... you got the spark plug wires back on correctly I assume...

I #'ed the wires and according to the haynes manual it's wrong but the car ran fine today and I did a few tests to make sure it wouldn't do it. Idle hunted for a few seconds on start up then stopped. But the remaining problem is my alarm keeps resetting and I have to physically switch it on and off for it to arm after i close the door
