Runs poor with Granetelli Mass Air

1989 Iroc 350 with paxton blower was running on a Granetelli ADJ Mass air .

The car would throw code 33 and 45 , and would buck and cut out. From what I have read the unit flows more air than the ecu can read , probably even more so with the supercharger. Just switched it back to the OEM bosch unit and no check engine light , no bucking , no cutting out during cruising throttle. However the car feels like it lost quite a bit of Torque and Horsepower.

Would it be time for speed density and ecu modding/replacement?

Have you tired the adjustment screw on the Granetelli?

The stock meter will be just fine with a custom tune. I'd sell that G-meter.

Re: Runs poor with Granetelli Mass Air

Sorry to jump into your thread,
but I have a Granetelli ADJ Mass air. on my 383 TPI They are and can be very temperamental as was mine. I've talked to a couple of different techs at their shop and even sent mine to them to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. They didn't charge me a dime, and were very helpful in resolving the issues I had. I would say give them a call before you give up on it. I'm very happy with mine, even my "Butt Dyno" says its better than the stock version which I still have, and yes I did modify my stock one.
