what kind of prom is this???
do the 1990-1992 camaro's have EPROM chips or do they have PROM chips that have to be erased by UV light??

they need UV light.
you can cut the old EPROM out and solder in a EEPROM, I don't think you'll find 256's though, probably have to get a 512.
