No Flashing Diagnostic Codes

A while back, I was having weird intermittent problems with the car running bad along with a jerky tack. Turning the ignition switch off and on would sometimes stop it for awhile or disconnecting the ECM connectors would stop for a few weeks.

After the last time of disconnecting the ECM the check engine light started to stayed on continuously when the engine is running. Runs fine though. Haven't had an "episode" yet.

I jumped terminals A and B at the diagnostic connector but get no code to flash. Light stays on. Swapped out another ECM, same situation. I don't even get a 1,2 code. I can still hear the usual noise up front that I've always heard before when in diagnostic mode.

Anybody else had problems getting the codes to flash?

along with a jerky tack
ignition failure. could be plugs coil rotor wires? I had same issues early this summer. I replaced cap and rotor and it went away immediately.
