Getting started with Tuner Pro

I just got my aldlcable today, but am needing a little help setting it up. I am just trying to collect data.

Did not get a driver disk with the cable.

Do I need to DL a definition file or something?

Installed drivers: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

Device manager shows com4

Thanks for any help.

You will need a bin definition file. And a datstream def file. I believe they are available on TP website.

or here http://gearhead-efi.com/gearhead-efi/

Re: Getting started with Tuner Pro

TY for the reply. DL'ed both files then loaded the .XDF, but where am I supposed to load the .ads file? Just trying to get live data at this point.

Do I need a 10K resistor? across A and B on an '89 165ecm?

Is it possible to acquire data with TP free? In the help section it states it is only available with RT.

rt is also free if you wait for the nag screen on startup

as for the ads, you need to go to aquisition->import definition from ads file (adx file is loaded w/ the load definition file selection)

Re: Getting started with Tuner Pro

I've tried that and Tunerpro is "unable to load" the adx and bin files.
