HI GUYS.Left message in electric part.Thought I 'd try dfi and ecm.I bought MSD 6la programmable and down loaded 319 softwear.MSD dist.and bar two map,ready to program my timing peramaters.Imadgen my surprize when all I see is retard tables,RPM AND BOOST.No base timing tables.MSD is no help,guess I learned a lesson.Anyone tried this maybe could be of some help.ERVIN

 

Don't you just set your base timing in the normal way with the distributor and a timing light?

 

Hi guys.TAlked MSD about my problem.They told me that it was not desighned to program tables of timing/map,yet they said on advertisement that you could program vac advance.LESSON LEARNED.They did tell me that if I knew what boost/retard was telling me ,I could simulate.WHAT?So on that note ,can any one tell me what 0 to 14.7 PSI is in inchs vacuum,or better yet what I understand,KPA.14.7 BEING 0 AT SEALEVEL.

 

Sorry I forgot.They told me set base timing at max timing say 34 degrees.What ever.

 

THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM.Talked Vic at MSD.He said that you plug in map sensor a red line will appear on the graph.Where it is will tell you what pressure is.You will still need a vacuum/boost gauge on car to figure where you are.Does anyone have inchs to KPA chart?What I do to put a supercharger on my car.

 

TALKED TO HOLLEY they said it won't work with HP.GUESS it won't work with stock ECU either.
