Installed an accel gen 7 dfi (tbi) on a 5.7l in a boat i am using the fuel only function with the stock mercruiser dist. After many hrs of reading accels manual & playing with the program i seem to have the motor starting and running well it will idle rev and accellerate well but if you hammer the throttle hard as if pulling a skier i get a bad lean pop & bogg, have tried adjusting tau, not sure i am doing it right but no matter what i do it has no effect. have forced the timing thinking i might be forced to use a dual sync dist but this didnt help either.
