Not enough information...
If your f-body is a '88 - '92 TBI that ECM will work. Although, it is a truck ECM. And, it needs to use the PROM that came with it, not the one from the OEM ECM.
For a '88 f-body with TBI, the correct ECM is 1228063
For a '89 - '92 f-body with TBI, the correct ECM is 1228746
If your f-body is outside of this (year or induction type), then the '8062 ECM won't work.

It came with and intake and harness rev bought on a deal. So the ECM is for a 4.3 though?

ok. what threw me off was painless ask's for certain part numbers for the ecm's and some of those part numbers match 4 cyl trucks, then you have replacement ecm's so forth so i was unsure.
im going to call painless and ask them if any ecm with that # will work with their harness

Re: ecm i got with a tune port setup
It sounds like you are going tpi maf, in that case you would need a 1227165 ecm that was used in s10's 87-91 with a 4 cylinder memcal. The 1227165 ecm if your looking at ebay or the junk yard may show any of these superseded numbers 16198259, 88999194 or 77-7165.
