I just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing issues with USB device detection. A friend of mine had a issue a few weeks ago with his burn 2 not being detected and sent it in for repair work. To fix the issue he reformatted his laptop. I ran into the same issue yesterday with my burn 2 and USB to aldl cable. I'm thinking a recent vista update messed up the drivers. It installed the fidi driver again and no go. Trying a system rollback today. Just curious if anyone else is fighting this issue

 

yes,vista doesent play well with ALDL cables and such. I up graded to win 7. and all is working.might be why everyone hated vista

 

I have used my aldl to USB cables a lot with vista and zero issues. But the last Time I used it to connect to my test bench and 91 z28 was around 6 months ago. The roll back 3 months didn't fix my issue. My friend fix was reinstalling the OS unfortunately I don't have the CDs
