Prom confusion with engine swap
First, let me thank all of you for the information on this site. It has helped me greatly. I am swapping the engine in a 88 305 TPI trans am to a 350 TPI. I have everything the site has recommended to do with the swap, thanks again. The prom I removed from the car is a AKFN 2178, I purchased a APYU 3516 to install in the exsisting ecm. I am removing the smog system, deleting the 9th injector, shorty headers with a 3" cat back exhaust, everything else will be stock. I will use the exsisting cat converter. Will the prom APYU 3516 install with no other programming needed?

I'm not sure, but APYU likely has VATs enabled. If your car doesn't have VATs, the injectors will never be fired.
There is a slim possibility that the fan(s) may work in reverse. That is on when commanded off, and off when commanded on. This is something that just needs to be tried to find out.
RBob.
