Re: Camaro 85 code 23 problem
The MAT sensor is located on the bottom of the plenum near the rear. The code 23 is due to an open sensor, open wiring, or a bad ECM.
The sensor wiring goes to ground (ties in with the TPS & CTS grounds), with the other wire going to pin A11 at the ECM.
At room temperature measure the resistance between ECM pin A11 and the ECM case. It should be about 3200 ohms.

Re: Camaro 85 code 23 problem
Ok I order a ECM and the one I have I have the problem that the green wire that goes to the fuel pump relay is not working I trace the wire to the ecm and there is no power coming out of the ECM so I put the MAT sensor and keeps doing the same think and also my electric fan when I put the key in on position is running continuos and never stops so I put a new cooling fan switch a new alectric fan motor and also put new relay also I put the fuel pump relay new and I'm thinking the ECM transistor is no good so I'm waiting for my ECM to arrive to put that and see if problem stops Bc before that the car was working fine so after the fuel pump stop working Bc the relay is not getting power so I'm more then sure all this problems is Bc the ECM failure

M/C solenoids are on carb'd set ups, not EFI. This is a TPI set up?
No power to FP relay coil, this is driven by a small transistor in the ECM. Common for them to pop and easy to replace.

Can you post a decent picture of the burnt area, it may or may not be fixable. And if it is a quad-driver, need to find the bad relay or solenoid that caused it. Otherwise the next ECM will meet the same fate.
