Computer Tune?

I have an 89 Formula LB9 305 TPI 5-speed, I came across a deal of 1.6 roller rockers and an LT4 Hot Cam. Getting the valve seals replaced and def. going to put the rockers on but not sure if I'm going to use the cam. Would I need a computer tune with this cam?

To maximize performance, you will need a tune with either/or, or both. I mean technically you can in fact install just the roller rockers and raise fuel pressure to compensate for the increased air, but that would really be defeating the purpose, and I wouldn't recommend it. The Hot Cam, yes, you definitely need a tune as it goes way beyond simply raising fuel pressure, having totally different valve events and timing needs...

Consider doing your own tuning. If you go with the EBL Flash system, installation is a breeze, and it comes with a bin specific to your vehicle. Then, it is simply just the matter of cut and pasting the LT4 SA Main Table into your own saved bin, changing the Initial and Idle State SA to the LT4's, then letting the EBL Flash learn the VE for you...

Just a thought.
