Check Engine Light

Sorry, my other post had the incorrect subject.
My problem is engine cranks only, doesn't fire. Just noticed the check engine light is not on in the ignition on position. It is supposed to be isn't it? Where do I start trouble shooting that.
Thanks in advance

Check the ECM fuse and see if you have power to the ECM. If the ECM doesn't have power the fuel pump will not energize and the check engine light will not come on.
