Holley commander question?
Has anyone used the 950 system on a tpi yet??Im currently looking to switch to some form of programable computer and was wanting to lok at all systems...I e-mailed holley about it but got some Vague at best answers...
I have an 87 MAF car....I want something that will switch it to MAP as the DFI does...I also wondered if it will work with a 3 bar map sensor... When I asked holley this they answered with ....Well we make it easy we make a tpi plug in kit PN Blah Blah Blah Blah......If anyone has used the setup or is familiar with it let me know...otherwise I guess Ill be saving up for Electromotive or Speedpro unit.

What specifically do you want to know? I'll be happy to answer any questions you have.
You can use a 1,2, or 3 bar MAP sensor. There is a kit with ECU, harness, and software for a TPI engine (PN 950-101).

OK I have a 1987 TPI..These came with a MAF sensor...This sucks..The reason it sucks is because NO ONE makes a higher flowing MAF sensor...So after you add even a throttle body your MAF becomes the biggest restriction..So in my case my vortech blower has a 4" inlet which has 4" tubing then a 3" MAF or about the same as 4" exhaust from the headers back with a 3" tailpipe(bad idea)...Which sucks...So I want to be MAP.... So Accell DFI solves this problem because the DFI automatically converts your MAF system to MAP sensor system.. You basically undo the maf wiring and reroute MAP wiring..Without converting over to a completely new harness
Does this system have the ability to do that or am I going to havve to convert my car and wiring over to a MAP system then add the 950 to the later year system...

So since it comes with its own harness then it is set up for MAP then right???? Im getting close to the answer I need...
Basically is itgoing to run everything the same, converter lockup, and all except run a MAP sensor??
Basically from projects in the past I dont want to spend 1 grand on the kit and then 50000 hours and 1000 more dollars making it all work via conversion parts..

Yes the harness is for a MAP, but it controlls fuel and spark only, not your tranny.
Basically all the wires that are going to your current computer will not be used.
