You can zip or compress it first to make it smaller. Other then that just attach it to the email. Usually a paperclip icon is available to do this.

Note that you want to send the .dat file, that is the raw data log.

Don't know how to zip or compress, not that savvy with things like this.
I'm guessing to attach it to an email I would have to save it to a file location first then attach it.
Would sending a Bin file be the same way?

When you create the data log it will be saved into a folder. Can send it directly from there. To start a data log, in the WUD: ALT+F, D. Then navigate to the folder you want to save it in. All incoming data from the ECM will go into that data log.

Attaching a BIN is the same as attaching an image or the data log.

You say the data log will be saved into a folder. Where would I look for that folder? Or are you saying create a new folder for it, then put it in it?
When you say to start one press ALT+F,D by pressing three keys at once?
Told you I'm not savvy at this. Never got into other functions my PC can do.
Thanks

The data log will be saved in the folder of your choice. You can create a new folder just for the data logs.

ALT+F, D: hold down the ALT key and hit the F key. The file menu will drop down. Hit the D key to open the save data log dialog. Navigate to the new folder (or make one) and type in a name for the data log file.
