'85 Firebird

I've got a '85 Firebird 2.8L V6, original. I've had it parked for about 3 yrs until about 2 months ago when I fondly got it back out. I've been working on it since I got it out because I can't seem to get it running. It will start then die and it'll do that 4 or 5 times in a row, then it won't start at all. Wait about 10 mins, then do it all over again. It just won't stay running. I finally found the AC Delco 4 Out Buffer and I took it off and I've had my wife on the computer finding out what exactly it is and what it does and controls. My question is this::: Would this Buffer be the problem as to why my firebird won't stay running? If not, what could be the problem because I'm at a loss. I've replaced and bought everything possible like the fuel pump, fuel filter, pick up, coil, control module, cleaned out the fuel injectors, pressure regulator, battery, computer, and it does have gas. Is there anything I've forgotten? PLEASE HELP!!! I really love this car but I'm at my end. Have a great day and thank you for any kind of input.

Re: '85 Firebird

The 4 out buffer box converts the A/C VSS signal to digital streams for the speedometer, ECM, and cruise control. Nothing to do with the stalling.

Unplug the electrical connector to the MAF and see if that helps.
