Part number for 87 Iroc Cable VSS?

I need the part number for the vehicle speed sensor. I haven’t been able to find any cable driven types anywhere. Any help would be great 1987 Iroc, 350 TPI, automatic (unsure of which transmission).

That is not really a VSS. With your car the VSS is behind/attached-to the instrument panel cluster. I am not sure what it is called, but is holds the driven gear for the speedometer cable.

Not even sure it is still available new.

I think it's commonly called a speedometer housing, and new ones are all over ebay for around $50. I just bought one last month for my wife's 1987 camaro.

There's more then 1; but only 1 that will work for you.

Be sure you get one that's correct for your rear gear ratio. The version you will need will depend on the rear end gearing or more accurately, the tooth count of the DRIVE gear you need to use.
