1990 ecu vs 1988 ecu?

Is the only difference between the 2 the use of MAP over MAF?

Asking because my 88 GTA has the MAP sensor and no MAF and I wanted to get an EBL P4 assembled with the 7730 ecu (90-92 ecu).

If tpi $32B is maf not map, the ebl p4 1227730 is map. Can repin your ecm connector and retire the mag connection to map.
88 tbi is map but look at the flash 2.

Also the P4 with the '730 case uses a different mount than the '165 / flashII does. The biggest difference better the operations of the 2 is the P4 allows more aux inputs than the Flash II if I remember right it's 8 vs 4.

Yeah I contacted the company who produces the EBL and was told regardless of whether I have a map or not I would have to use the flash II unless I want to repin all the harnesses since in 1990 they went to 3 plug versus the older 2 plug style. This weekend or next weekend I'll be pulling the computer out to check whether it's a 2 plug or not before I order the EBL flash II as the previous owner who made all these mods died and left behind no notes or paperwork for anything
