Help!! broke pins on stock ecm prom chip
Hello everyone, well I messed up definitely. After 15 years of owning this car I finally figured I give some ecm prom tuning a try. Initially it ran somewhat ok and it improved greatly as time went on after the cam swap from 15 years ago. I used a speed pro cs1079r cam which was ecm friendly. I went to pull the stock chip out to read with my moates burn2 and sheared two of the pins on the prom chip flush off. I am gonna go to junk yard today hope to god I can find a stock ecm. I hope all my ecm relearns are going to be ok if I just use another prom chip. Here is a pic of the ecm . I really need my car to go to work and would greatly appreciate some help

I’m in the junkyard now I found a 88 k1500 pickup with a 5.7. Can I just reuse the Calpak small chip out of my original ecm

Don't worry about swapping the CALPAK. The 5.0l and 5.7l engines used the same one. Either of those ECMs you grabbed should fire the engine right up.
The only gotcha' would be if one of the ECMs is for a stick shift. If so shouldn't use it with any auto with a TCC.
