Instrument cluster swap

I did an LS swap in my 1982 Camaro. Donor motor an trans are a 5.3 and 4L60E with harness. I am using a fuel tank and sending (240-33 ohm) out of a 2000 Camaro. I want to use the 2000 gauges as well. I am trying to wire the gauges and not sure where the information gets from the PCM to the gauges? I have a pink wire (12v switched, orange (constant hot), oil pressure and VSS coming off of the cluster as well as the ground wires, turn signal, brake system etc. Does the data come from the serial data to the tach, fuel and water temp gauges or somewhere else? I have wiring diagrams but I am stuck on stupid and cannot figure it out. The original 82 gauges would take too many converters to become 100% operational.

Re: Instrument cluster swap

I finally figured out putting the 4TH Gen gauges in my 82. I am using a 4TH gen fuel tank and sending unit. I tried to figure out how to use the original gauges but I would have had to purchase expensive converter boxes for my 3RD gen fuel gauge and speedometer to work. Just have to modify the instrument compartment so the gauges are further back in the dash. I will post some pics when I get done.
