how do you hook up pcv on a F/I throttle body

I've got it hooked to a 1/2" port on the upper right hand side of the regular old GM style throttle body on advice from another forum but I can't feel any vacuum at this port. I don't think it's pulling any vac on the motor. Is this the right port? Somebody got a pic of the correct setup? It would be like an L98 motor I think.

Thanks
David

well the PCV valve hooks to a vacuum port betwwen the driver's side runners. the other line coming from the passenger vavle cover goes to the TB on the passenger side.

What happens if you replace the pass side tube with a breather and just plug the hole on the TB would it cause vaccuum trouble?

plugging T/B port

mrr23:
Thanks, I had the drivers side on wrong.

ChevyKen:
I was thinking about plugging the port on the T/B AND the hole in the passenger side valve cover and running with vacuum on the motor. I think old 280z's had a setup like that. No breather, just vacuum being pulled on the motor to pull out blow-by gasses. Maybe someone here with a 280z can set us straight or fill us in on the pro's/con's of running with vacuum but no air inlet thru a breather.

Thanks

You cannot run only vacuum to the engine without a relief breather somewhere, the engine will start leaking oil from the front and rear main seals.
Even though some cars may appear to have only a vacuum hose running to them, every car has to have some form of vent to the crankcase to keep the engine from pulling a vacuum under the pistons.Look close on that 280z and you'll find a hose going to the air box that lets the engine "breath".
