A good OBDI and OBDII Scanner

As above looking for a good OBDI and OBDII Scanner.

I have no plans on running anything newer that 2006/10.

I am putting a OBDI 165 TPI ECM and a stock 7427 running a 4L80e into my 96 Chevy van, so I want a GOOD OBDI scanner for it/them.

And I have a 02 Ford Explorer 4.0 and a 03 Explorer 4.6 and a 03 Crown Vic and my wife has a 2000 Toyota, all OBDII. So want a good scanner for them.

I would like a full boat model but a brand new scanner seems a waste of money as many of the things the new ones can do will not work on my cars.

So seeking advice on make model and year of good scanners.
