I need some help from this amazing place of knowledge. I have had many issues with my bird since February, and I've chalked it up my ECM finally moving on the greener pastures. The problem is that the ECM currently in my bird has no service ID on it, and I do not see one inside the case.
I am a little worried about getting the wrong ECM with the wrong service ID. My bird has a v8 5.7L TPI (Chevy L98) in her. I think that the service ID is 1221765, but is from researching online. The service manual I am using doesn't indicate what service ID goes to what engine. Any insights ? Any recommendations? What do y'all think?
