DFI and cruise control
DFI and cruise control
can the dfi control the cruise control so that it runs smooth like if the car were stock? i have my unit running piggy back with the stock computer is there any thing that can be done about the cruise control?
I just got my DFI a week or so ago and the guy i bought it from said that with the piggy back that it retains the cruise control, so i think we should be safe with the cruise. If it doesn't work then i don't know what to tell you, but i was told it will work fine

My car surges also. I am running the stock computer and a Haltech E6GM. I noticed that when I smoothed my fuel and timing curves, it surged less. Also, the cruise control module was designed with the stock motor in mind. The stock motor needed more throttle input to correct the speed. Now, with more horsepower, it overcompensates and cause the car to surge. You can almost eleiminate it by smoothing your fuel and timing curves, though.
