i have had the computer sent off to accel and the data cable both are good, yet the laptop has still failed to connect to the car..any hints or help??? i have been told that the laptop may be to good for the program..it is a 133MHz with windows 98..any help would be great..

 

Yes, what you have been told is correct. The Calmap software does not like to run on windows 98, i found that out the hard way also. I pluged a windows 95 computer in and bam, showed up instantly. If you can i would just take 98 off of your computer and put 95 on it. I have also been told about a program called partition magic, it supposivly will alow u to use calmap and other older DOS programs with 98, ME, 2000. HTH

yes i believe it would, i'm just using a standard windows 95 ibm laptop and it works fine.

 

Find a 486 with win 95 off ebay or somthin for cheap. That way you dont care if someone rips it off either.
