Desired idle and settin rpn in field service/park
If my commanded idle is 800 rpm in drive , what should i set the base idle at when adjusting the tbplates in field service mode?
on stock its 650 in P should = 450 in D
If im going for 800 in D does that correlate to setting it at 1000rpm? seems high to me havent tride going 200rpm over yet and seeing what happens
setting it as low as the motor will idle at hot , right around 700 or so it seems to hunt around a lot iac wise and eventually end up with iac counts from 70-90 in gear at a lite with the idle at about 750-800 rpm
lemme know :-(

I actually prefer my "Drive" and "Park" idle speed to be the same. I find it makes it smoother to shift the tranny from "Park/Reverse?Neutral/Drive".
I can't say with your ECM but on 165s and 730s, there is a "Constant" of the amount of RPM to add when in "Park/Neutral". Stock is 100 rpm. I found that extra 100 rpm really made a bad "CLUNK" when I shifted my tranny from "PRND".
That's why I don't add any extra rpm now.
