Diacom problem or?

After running diacom for about 30-45 minutes, it stops logging and flashes trouble codes present. When i access the trouble codes, I get various code for the map sensor , o2 circuit, 51 for improper or faultu prom and a few others(cant find where i wrote them down at, grrrrr) but it seems to happen at the same time my lptop battery begins to lose some power...but the low warning tone never comes on nor does the laptop cease to function as i can shutdown and reboot....

Anyone else experience anything like this?

I know that its not going into limphome mode as the actual driveablity remains unchanged....
thanks
jeremy

Two possible solutions:

1) Buy an DC/AC Power invertor so you can plug your laptop's charger into it. A small Power Invertor generally produces enough wattage to power a Laptop and your eprom burning equipment (say at the track). The small ones run off the cigarette lighter.

2) Buy a "generic" charger for your laptop that runs off your cigaretter lighter.

Option #1 is more versatile, Option #2 is cheaper.

Code 51 generally indicates a bad eprom BTW. Possibly it wasn't burnt quite right. I found with eproms (before I converted to Flash) that if you don't "quite" erase them long enough, that they may not program "just right" (even though they verify) and throw weird errors.

Having your laptop die is not a good thing either.

First, make sure you got a GOOD $8D BIN that you are trying to open. Go to this post and part way down, you can download a KNOWN GOOD AUJP1615 bin all zipped up and ready to go.

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=101579

If you TunerCat STILL can't open it, then it's one of the following 3 possibilities:

1) Your $8D.TDF that you got from TunerCat is corrupted or not loaded properly...e-mail TunerCat, they'll fix you up.

2) Your computer is a very old Windows 95 and has very little memory (say 4MB) and TunerCat can't properly load. Check the minimum system requirements at TunerCat or e-mail them. They will tell you the minimum amount of memory that you'll need.

3) The TunerCat program is improperly installed. Can you open a $42 BIN? That comes "free of charge" with Tuner Cat. Go to www.diy-efi.org and go get a bin (any bin) for a 1227747. That's a $42 BIN and then set Tuner Cat to $42 and open it. If it can open it, then TunerCat is fine, and it's $8D TDF that's corrupted. If it can't open a 7747 bin, then "uninstall" and "reinstall" TunerCat. In fact, download a new copy from www.tuner.cat and re-install it - to make sure you have the latest greatest. If that STILL won't open a $42, then for some reason your computer is not wanting to open TunerCat - e-mail TunerCat.
