$50 puts you alot closer to doing your own.
Save your money and get the stuff to do your own.

re

$250 for a buner amd eraser and then you will need a laptop and winaldl or some other scan tool.

Or $50 for a chip on a near stock LO3 that will add 75% the power

While I agree chip burning yourself is the best, especially if you have a radical engine. I think in some situations it's not cost and time effective.
just my $.02

I think that the real question needed to be answered is, how many more mods are you planning to do to your car? If you plan on doing a lot of mods, then buying your own burning equipment is worth it, whereas if you plan to leave the car alone after the gears, then just the chip should be sufficient. Just my 2 cents

I PLAN ON DOING NO MODS TO MY ENGINE I WANT TO START ON SUSPENSION I DON'T WANT TO INVEST TO MUCH MONEY ON A 305 WITH 100K MILES ON IT. I WANT TO GET MY CAR AS QUICK AS I CAN WITH NO MAJOR MODS TO THE ENGINE BECAUSE HOPEFULLY WITHIN A YEAR OR SO I WILL BE GETTING A 350.

NO CAMS, HEADS OR INTAKE MANIFOLDS IN THE NEAR FUTURE

If your gonna mod your 350 in the future, you might as well buy burning tools now, then you can practise on your 305 and then you'll be ready for your 350. This would be my suggestion.

The best way to go is getting the tools to burn your own. This does take a considerable about of time just to learn.......besides the monentary part. If you are looking for a little more power cheap then buy the PROM and start saving for the tools to make it even better later on.
Oh, and your caps lock key is on. Might want to fix that first.
