Got Cm 845 linked but probs (please look)...
Well I am having an @ss load of with this TPI conversion. I made my cable (two transistor) and got Cm ECM845 to link after a few reboots and attempts. After I link up and look at the live data the data is way off. It says car is running when it isnt, RPMs not correct,TPS position does not change as throttle is increased, and the list goes on. I am beginning to wonder if I have a bad ECM. If anyone else had a similar problem and confirmed cause please let me know. Suggestions are welcome and needed!!!

Sure you have it in 'live' mode and not offline mode? Also, do you have the settings for ECM right? On page 4, what kind of error counts are you getting percentage wise? If you are getting good data packets and checksums, and very little error, then the data should be right. Something sounds squirrely...
BTW, what EPROM are you using as a basis?

This car is defintely squirrely to say the least! I tried again sunday to get 845 linked and when I press 1 to initiate to link a bunch of numbers came up at the bottom of the page ( the page that tells you to press 1 until the beep, etc. These numbers do change when I rev the engine, but the program usually doesnt go any further and remains on that page. I believe my error counts were around 340ish the time 845 linked. Oh the checksum only goes to 63 at the same page I referred to above. Stock eprom. It said I was doing around 150mph... standing still? This is definitely a car issue and not the program. I was just woindering what appears to be the problem. I checked my cable connections over a couple (hundred) time and it looks good.
