Axle/Gears: 9" from 57 ranchero unsure gears.
is it possible to plug a laptop directly into the ECM?
the reason I ask is Im wondering instead of burning multiple chips, can you hook the laptop with say the tunercat program and use it to run the ecm make the necessary adjustments as you go and then when done burn the prom? or is it just burn test burn test etc etc...?

I think you can with your ecm. Search the archives for something like "Kalmaker" or look for a user name of Tomcat? or something. It's an Australian thing in any case. There is also an Eprom emulator that would do the same thing and I think someone on this list has made one work succesfully. Again, it's to the archives. However, I think most guys will tell you burn, test, burn ....
