Lightning Strikes

We had a serious thunderstorm the other night, and a few really close strikes.

If you have some EEPROMS sitting on a table and not in circuit they can get scrambled. If in circuit they seem to do fine. Regular EPROMS seemed to have gotten by without any damage.

I'd suggest you keep any not in use EEPROMS in the anti-static foam when not in use.

IF your using 29C256s then get a few good 28 pin sockets.
Insert the EEROM into the socket and use it that way. It protects the EEPROM from bending a pin, in case, you bump it wrong.

Moate's 8 posistion 2732, to 29C256 is KILLER.
Truely, really neat.

Doc, and Bashful mishandled it for 4 hours and it still worked. They did also have an error in the Flight Simulator when doing touch and goes with a 747, but all is well. I told em they should have started with a 727, oh well.

Personal preference is the only difference.
Using the machined sockets are the best of the lot in my book.
