ECU file for 165ecm

I've been trying to get to the ftp site for diy-efi and haven't been able to connect. Is there a new site to get to it?

Anyway awhile back I came across a ECU file 6Ev010 but when I tried to use it in WinBin I got errors.
Anyway I hacked it out and finally got it to work in WinBin. Now this 6Ev010 file is alot larger than the older ecu file for 165s. The old one had like 50 some items but this new one 6Ev010 has like 159 items and they all seem to work.
But I would like a few of the senior guys to look at it and try it, if you wouldn't mind.
You can get a copy atMy Site . Just scroll down to the button that has "ECU File" and click on that.
Like I said it seems to work ok and I plan to make a prom from it this weekend to see if all is find.
It took me like 2 months to hack through it and double check the addresses and memory allocation and even fix a few typo's so when it loaded into WinBin I felt good but now a bit brain dead so any help ideas or any input would help.

Thanks

It's wonderful seeing someone public domain their work.
I for one appreciate what you've done.
Thanks

Gee, that's nearly identical to the 6Ev009.ecu file on Zaphod's website, with the exception of numerous addressing errors you've introduced. Zaphod and I spent a good bit of time working on the $6E ecu file last year, taking it up to 157 items (hmmm, same exact number as yours!). Thanks for ripping us off!

Hey Greg, are there any tables/flags that determine the canister purge duty cycle?

If not, I'd be interested in figuring out the locations... it may take a while though.

Yep, they're in there somewhere, stuff like max LV8 for CCP, coolant temp for enable, vehicle speed for enable, %TPS for disable, and a %DC vs. airflow table. Maybe I'll work on those this summer after I take a couple vacations (next week and the week of July 4).

And in other news, I came across an ECM tuning "how to" document on the Internet but when I tried to use it I got errors.

Anyway I hacked it up and got it to work. I named it "Programming 101" and put it on my site so everyone will think I authored it.

Just illustrating the plagiarism here...

Don't cry...

I think several folks worked on that ECU file. I remember myself taking it from the basic APYP definition a couple years back up to something like 6Ev004. Then there was another guy who deserves a lot of credit (Dan Townsend) that ran with it. I'll have to look back at my email archive, it's an interesting point if nothing else.

It is good to see that someone has carried forward with ECU file support. Without it, the Freeware BIN editing domain would be pretty weak. It is real nice, however, to look inside something after it has evolved from where you left it, and still see your 'signature'. You know, like Deg.F, lowercase for goodness sake.

Yeah, it's been a while...

You guys have done great keeping it up to date. Good work!
