Knock counts

During a WOT-run, is it normal to have any knock counts at all? I typically get 4-6 deg knock retard during the whole run. I guess that´s too much but I wonder if the goal is to get no knocks at all or is it normal to get a few?

It depends on the calibration, but your ecm will allows pull out MORE then enough timing then to stop the detonation. If you see 6d retard it might be only 4d that is needed, so your wasting 2d of timing, and that's enough to notice.
