Welp, I got the cable built for Winaldl and got it to communicate with my laptop, kinda. I only get maybe the first 5 lines in Raw data and nothing else, and nothing on the other tab pages, eg; BLM, INT, O2 etc.
I did a search for this problem, found that others had the same thing, but no fixes posted. Anyone that had these problems ever get it fixed? If so, how?

Also, the little window by the configuration button had constantly changing numbers in it, but they were red. I had the 10k resistor in pins A&B when taking readings, also tried removing it during the process, got less data then, only 2 lines.

This is on an 870 ECM. Could the 870 be the whole problem?

I needed to have the laptop on AC power since the battery in it only puts out 10.8VDC. All works good now. Now on to the 165 swap.
