PROM experts, will it be safe to start my engine with this chip???

My current mods are in the sig, it's a speed density setup by the way. Right now, my car is running for the most part rich. Very soon though, I will be installing a Stealth Ram intake, AFR 195cc heads, and a 282/288 duration cam (230/236 @.050) with 110 lobe sep. My question is, since you can't really burn a decent chip for a car until you run it and take data, will it be safe for the engine to start with these huge changes on my current chip. I'm using 24# injectors by the way. Thanks.

I don't think it will be safe. You will be washing the walls with fuel. FWIW - my 230/245 cam has HALF the VE of a stock camshaft. That's a huge difference. I would recommend cutting at least 20% from the VE tables IN THE IDLE REGION and ensure that your Fuel pressure is at 43psi before starting the motor. Also make sure you have the injector constant set according to the injectors you are running (SVO vs GM is important!). These mods are if you are going from a stock cam to a 230. I think you'll still be rich with those mods but it will definitely be safer.

So should I change every VE value up to say 1250 RPM or so by 20%? Anything else? What about spark? There are knocks right now if that makes a difference. Also, what should I set my timing to? Fuel pressure is a constant 42 PSI. I have 24# Accel injectors, will that be a 24 for the value then? Thanks.
