Code 52?

I recently got a code 52 which can be a bad ECM. I have the CM addapter and pulled it out, then put it back in. I put a different chip in the prom slot and no code. IS a code 52 common to not having the addapter in teh slot properly? And is it common if you do not have the correct prom ID??

Recently I had a very similar problem but it was with code 51 or 55 (don't remember).

Finally, it was bad connection, but not into ECM or calpack. Bad conn. was at positive terminal at battery!.

You can start cleanning the connections at ECM, PROM, adapter, calpack, etc. with "electric contact cleaner". Then, go to the battery and clean the terminals with hot water (it can be directly from the kettle). Use a big quantity of water (remember that water +copper sulfat = acid in your battery suport, chassis and front of the body). Clean completely.

Test your problem now.
