Ideas while making the 165 to 730 swap.
I can't help but notice that I can very easily add some switched features to the car while I do this.
I saw that there is a VATS input. Is this just the "systems go" from the VATS module? Would I be able to tap into it and have my remote start send a 12V signal here bypassing the module (and chip setup I have on there now)?
The next toy I would like to add is a fan swich. I already have the grounded CTS version, but I would like both of them to come on. Can I just ground (or power) this wire so that the ECM thinks the AC is on and both fans turn on?
Please move this to electronics if need be... it's a bit of both question.

The VATS module outputs a specific signal that the ECM expects, it's not just a +12V in.
I don't think fooling the ECM is a good idea, maybe it does other stuff when it thinks the A/C is on. Just MHO though.
