Replaced Prom , No A/C + DIY versus Commander 950 (private issue)
I broke my OEM prom a couple years ago when I switched to an ADS chip. I recently recieved a chip from a freind so I could switch backand take out the ADS. Well while running some scanning software tonight I noticed the A/C compressor did not come on when I tested it. I verified this by looking at the compressor to see If it locked but it didnt. Is it possible the chip I recieved is not able to run the A/C?
While Im here I should also ask if you guys think I could easily tune my OEM computer burning proms versus buying a holley commander system. I currently run Nitrous , but Next year its extra cubes and boost+Nitrous. I have a compaq lap top , Where can I buy a connector and is there free or relitively inexpensive software available? And reaaly how much can I get the stuff I would need to DIM burning and tuning? If there are any experts out there Im more than willing to give a pay pal donation for some advise direction and software , etc. Thanks!
