Where can I get blank PROM chips for 1985 camaro

Hey

I am looking for blank PROM chips for a 1985 Camaro. Does anyone know where I can get them.

search on ebay for 2732, and 27c32. They normally go for 5-10$ for 10 of them. Sometimes they need to be erased, if you plan on doing much burning I recommend a eprom eraser.

You can't use a 29c256 and just double the image size??

I was wondering about this myself, so I can tune abuddy's 85..

Don't think so, not without an adaptor. The 29C256 is a 28 pin chip and the 27C32's are 24 pin.

Look at Craig Moate's adapter. I havent' been following it lately. I think there are some "teething problems", but Craig should have it working soon (if not already).

I see. and now I know..

THe 85 ecm's have sockets, or memcals like ours? I havn't had the opportunity to rip one apart.

The 870 ECM from '85 has a socket on the PCB, no memcal.
