Need VATS help... already did a search!
Well, after trying to bypass the key and not getting anywhere we decided to disable VATS in my new chip. We checked the VATS select and VATS diagnostic, but that didn't help until I bypassed the starter enable relay. Now it starts and everything but I still get a CONSTANT security light in the dash. Is this normal? We redid the chip now and just turned the VATS select off this time. Car still starts/runs fine, but still have that VATS light in dash. Scanner says all is well, but I don't know if I need to just take the bulb out of the dash or what? Any ideas??? Thanks! BTW, through the searched on here I found alot, but not anything about the light staying on!

Yes. The VATS module is the heart of the system not the ECM. It controls the Sec light. The ECM and starter interlock relay are also "controlled" by the module.

Well, the fuse removal fixed that light problem. Now I just have to get it running right again.
THANKS for the help!
