Any ideas on why...
my car loves to drink so much gas, and smell like fuel(mostly present at idle), but Ecm tells me that Im running a tad bit too lean? I cant figure it out, but my gas mileage isnt normal, but the plugs dont show an overly-rich problem either. BLM's are usually around 134-6 while cruisingat 70mph in 6th gear, but I see the gas guage going by quickly. Does anyone have any suggestions, maybe the ECM is malfunctioning? At idle it smells pretty bad, but ecm tells me that it is around 140 BLM, which would be a lean mixture. I think MAF is my problem, and I am going to do the SD conversion shortly. I hope my set-up runs better with that ecm, but I wouldnt mind figuring this problem out either. Any help?

Hmmm,
Maybe try changing the o2 sensor - car is not goind back into open loop is it?
also try enabling highway mode,it can help alot but dont go to lean keep an eye on temp,knock and plugs while evoked.

Thanks for the suggestions, I went away this weekend and had a lot of time to think about the problems as well. I too am skeptical of the O2 sensor, eventhough its a new heated one, it is made by Bosch. Ive read a lot about the quality of their pieces, and have heard of people having problems with them as well. I think I might start there first. As far as a lean miss, it could be, but even with a perfect 128/128 chip it smells bad. I just think that the ecm is getting bad reports, or the ecm is on its way out. I will be getting another 165 ecm in a few days to check out that problem as well.
I was also thinking about the cam I have in it because I was going to go with the superram, but then went with the miniram at last minute. I had the LPE 219/219 cam in it, and left it in. Ive heard a few others with this cam and miniram, but havent heard from them recently. Any thoughts on this? I think I will do a cam in the spring anyways, something like what Traxtion (sorry about spelling) has in his car. I think he has had good luck with his cam.
